Terms of Service
You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all instruction files, prompts, and code generated using RulesForge. You are free to use them in proprietary, open-source, enterprise, or commercial software repositories without royalties or attribution.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the RulesForge website and online utilities located at https://rulesforge.online (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
RulesForge is a free developer tool designed to assist software engineers in converting unstructured project descriptions and architectural constraints into standardized AI instruction rulebooks (including CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, Cursor .cursor/rules/*.mdc, GitHub Copilot instructions, and related formats). The tool runs client-side in your web browser.
3. Ownership and License of Generated Output
- Your Content: RulesForge claims no copyright, intellectual property, or ownership rights over the inputs you supply or the generated artifacts produced by the tool.
- Commercial Use: You are granted an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the generated rulebook files.
4. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The Service and its generated files are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- AI Assistant Behavior: While RulesForge formats instructions to conform to platform specifications, artificial intelligence models and coding assistants (LLMs) are probabilistic systems. RulesForge does not guarantee that any AI assistant will follow instructions with 100% adherence or zero defects.
- Security Boundaries: Instructions generated by this tool guide AI behavior, but do not replace technical access controls, automated CI/CD test suites, static analysis, or human code review for mission-critical code.
- Limitation of Damages: In no event shall RulesForge, its maintainers, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service for any of the following prohibited activities:
- Engaging in automated denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or intentionally overburdening our hosting infrastructure.
- Attempting to bypass authentication controls, exploit vulnerabilities, or inject malicious payloads into other users' browser sessions.
- Using the service to generate malicious rulebooks intended to trick AI systems into authoring malware, ransomware, or exploiting computer networks.
6. Advertising and Third-Party Links
The Service may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and may contain links to third-party services and documentation. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such external websites.
7. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of the Service following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
8. Governing Law and Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
